An Introduction to Fungi (02/11/17) Thursday, 2nd November 2017 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

An introduction to woodland fungi. After a morning spent in the classroom looking at the anatomy of fungi, the major fungi groups, how to find them and the limits of what you can do without a high-powered microscope we will then move into the ancient woodland of Ebernoe Common. Over a 1000 species of fungi have been found here including many rare and unusual species.

Hopefully we will see bird’s-nest fungi, waxcaps, hedgehogs, stinkhorns, blushers, deathcaps, caterpillar clubs and many, many more!

Meet at Kirdford Village Hall, Village Road,Kirdford, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 0ND
