I'm a Survivor!

Welcome to the woods! Learn some basic bushcraft skills to become a woodland survivor. Use hand tools to make models from green wood and practice safe fire lighting to make your own hot drink.

Learn about the animals that live in the woods and what they need to survive by playing stalking games amongst the trees. Use natural materials to make mini shelters and create tree spirit faces with clay to decorate the camp site.

Meet on the green between Stanmer House and Church, Stanmer Park, Lewes Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 9QA

Please ensure children bring a packed lunch and drink, ideally in a rucksack, and wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear and sun protection for the weather conditions.

Suitable for children aged 6-11 years. Parents/carers do not accompany children.

Not suitable for wheelchair users or those with compromised mobility. Toilets in Stanmer village.

Booking essential

Brighton and Hove Bus route nos. 23, 25, 28 and 29 from Brighton stop outside Stanmer Park. Nearest mainline train station: Falmer. One mile walk to meeting place from main road.
