Sussex Half Day Bird Safari - Cuckmere Haven and Seaford Head (24/04/17)

This safari starts at the Lower Cuckmere where we will walk along the west side of the River Cuckmere, down to the beach and then up the cliff to take in part of Seaford Head and joining a circular walk back to 7-Sisters Country Park car park where we meet.

This time of year migration is underway and so we hope to see early migrants such as wheatear, swallows and martins and a few waders passing through. At the beach we might catch some seabirds and hopefully the resident peregrines and ravens.

No previous knowledge or skills required, just enthusiasm!

Seven Sisters Country Park is situated at Exceat, near Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 4AD.

Meet in the lower car park adjoining the A259. There is another car park behind the Visitor Centre which is accessed from the Litlington Road.
