Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

Deer Park and Woodland Walk - Everyone Welcome (08/04/17) Saturday, 8th April 2017 9:45 AM - 3:30 PM

Meet in good time for a 9.45 start from The Sussex Oak Warnham, RH12 3QW (Explorer Map 134: TQ 158337). Please park at the rear of the car park. If travelling north from Worthing on the A24, turn left at The Great Daux roundabout towards Dorking. Take the first left into Bell Rd. The pub is at the end of the short road in the centre of Warnham.

The pub will be open from 9.00 so we will be able to use the facilities. Orders for lunch will be taken prior to departing on the walk.

We will start off passing by the Norman church of St Margaret’s as we head off on our walk of about four miles which will be generally to the south of Warnham taking us through the Deer Park, farmland and woodland. There are some gentle inclines and it could be muddy in places. We would expect to see many different spring flowers and an abundance of birds at this time of year.

We hope to arrive for lunch back at the Sussex Oak around 12.30.

The afternoon walk is relatively short at two and a half miles and takes us northwest of Warnham mainly through woodland, known locally as the bluebell wood.

You are welcome to join us on the morning or afternoon walk or, of course, both.

Walk led by Mike and Rosalie (Tel: 01403 250756 or 07729 349275 on the day)
