Hoverflies are colourful, fascinating insects but often overlooked. To encourage more hoverfly recorders in Sussex we’re offering this 2-day introductory course aimed at the complete beginner.
Through a mixture of talks and practical exercises Stuart Ball and Roger Morris, authors of “Britain's Hoverflies: A Field Guide”, will teach you all about the natural history of hoverflies and using microscopes and keys you’ll learn identification skills which will help you to identify and record hoverflies.
