Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

Walk - Everyone Welcome (13/08/16) Saturday, 13th August 2016 9:45 AM - 3:30 PM

This delightful figure-of-eight walk, in total of about five and a half miles, will take us through woodlands, beside hedgerows and across open countryside with some lovely views of the Downs. Please meet in good time for a 9.45 start in the car park of theBlack Horse pub, Nuthurst, West Sussex, RH13 6LH ( Explorer Map 134; TQ 194263), where we will also have lunch.

Nuthurst is approximately three miles south of Horsham. If travelling north from Cowfold on the A281, turn left at Monk’s Gate towards Nuthurst and The Black Horse Inn is in about one mile on the left. There is limited space in the pub car park so please park compactly starting at the back right hand corner.

Please note the pub will not be open before we leave and, to help with catering, we will pre-order lunch a few days earlier. The menus will be sent to you by email a week before the walk and you will then be asked to email Terry Wills with your food choices. If you are not a regular attendee of these walks and are thinking of coming, then please let Terry have your email address at [email protected] - by the end of July- so that you can be included in his email.

The morning walk is about three and a half miles and the afternoon about two miles. You are welcome to do only the morning or afternoon walks if you wish. We should be back at the pub for lunch at around 12:30 and leave around 14.00 for the afternoon outing.

Parts of this walk can be muddy after rain, in which case walking boots or Wellingtons are recommended.

Walk led by Lin and Ross (0208 8942276 or 07900 697411 on the day).
