Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

The Sussex Prairie Garden Open Day Sunday, 26th June 2016 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Sussex Prairie Garden near Henfield, West Sussex is well worth a visit with its spectacular floral displays, nursery and teashop. An Open Day on Sunday 26 June is the launch pad for a stunning new book by Anne Kelly – Textile Nature – an inspirational guide to using nature in textile art. The proceeds from a raffle of an original piece of textile artwork by Anne and other prizes, will go to support the work of the Sussex Wildlife Trust, the largest nature conservation registered charity in the county.

During the Open Day, Sussex Wildlife Trust will be on hand to advise visitors how to attract wildlife such as bees, butterflies, hedgehogs and toads into their own gardens and green spaces. Their wildlife gardening expert Pete Crawford will be there to answer your questions and will also encourage children to sow seeds such as sweet william, marigolds and sweet rocket in paper pots to take home.

Signed copies of Textile Nature will be available to buy as well as refreshments throughout the afternoon. Opening times are from 13:00 – 17:00 and admission is £7 adults, £3.50 children with family and season tickets available. Dogs are welcome on a lead.
