Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

Walk - Everyone Welcome (14/05/16) Saturday, 14th May 2016 9:45 AM - 3:30 PM

Meet in good time for a 9:45 departure from the rear car park of The Worlds End, Arundel Road, Patching, near Worthing, West Sussex BN13 3UQ (www.worldsendpatching.co.uk : Explorer Map 121: TQ 084056). We will meet at the back of the car park: the pub will be open and the toilet facilities will be available for our use prior to the walk. We will make our lunch selections before leaving. We anticipate returning to the pub following the morning walk at about 12:30.

The morning walk will be just under four miles and takes us through Clapham village and then up to Clapham Wood where this mixed woodland should exhibit wild fauna, particularly bluebells at this time of year. This walk is through sheltered woodland and some fields along defined paths and bridleways. The walk to Clapham Wood is up a gentle but steady incline.

For those wanting a shorter walk there is some parking in Clapham village where you could pick up the walk (this would result in a walk of approximately two miles). Let us know in advance if this option appeals, so that we can coordinate arrangements.

Following lunch, the afternoon walk is a short affair (approx two miles) across open fields and through some woodland.

You are welcome to join us for either or both of the walks.
