Sussex Wildlife Trust is working hard for nature at this challenging time but we can only do so with your support.

Walk - Everyone Welcome (12/09/15) Saturday, 12th September 2015 9:45 AM - 4:00 PM

Meet in good time for a 9:45 departure from the car park of The Gardener’s Arms,

Selsfield Road, Ardingly, RH17 6TJ (Explorer Map 135: 343307 The pub is on the B2028 just to the north of Ardingly (opposite the South of England Showground) and the landlady has kindly agreed to let us use their facilities when we meet.

The morning walk will be approximately four miles and will take us through the Loder Valley. This large Nature Reserve (including Ardingly reservoir) concentrates on conservation of plants and animals and there are three main habitats - woodland, wetland and meadowland. In short, it is an ideal environment for its purpose with a rich diversity of animal and plant life.

The afternoon walk is just over three miles and will take us through a wooded valley and along part of the High Weald Landscape Trail, where there are some beautiful views over this part of Sussex.

Both walks are along and across valley terrain but slopes are mainly gradual with a few stiles. You are welcome to join us for either or both of the walks.
