Photo Posts

As part of the Sussex Wildlife Trust's 60th Anniversary celebrations, we installed posts with a specially made cradle for smartphones to act as fixed point photography locations across a number of our reserves. 

Photos taken from these locations will help us track the changes in the landscape over time, allowing us to get a better understanding of how vegetation grows, how physical landscapes may shift (such as at our coastal sites), and help us keep a record of changes brought about due to climate change.

It's quick and easy to get involved - simply place your smartphone in the cradle with the camera facing through the hole, take a picture (no people please), and share it on your public social media account using #SWTphotoposts (or email them to [email protected])*

Reserves which have photoposts are: Woods Mill (see above), Iping Common, Stedham Common, Rye Harbour, Seaford Head, Waltham Brooks and Graffham Common. We are in the process of creating a map so you know where to find the posts - so watch this space!
