Wilder Sussex Photo Competition
2018 winning image - South Downs Sunrise by Jamie Fielding

Sussex Wildlife Trust's photo competition is open for entries and this year's theme is Wilder Sussex.

We are looking for 12 stunning photographs capturing the best of the wildlife and landscapes of Sussex.

We'd love to see your local wildlife shots, showing us the vibrant and varied nature of Sussex.  Amaze us with the ladybirds in your garden, migrating wildfowl, macro spiders, flowers carpeting a woodland floor, colourful fungi, clouds of downland butterflies or a sleeping hedgehog in the park. Share the wild places that are special to you. It could be high on the Downs, deep in the woods, on the beach or your favourite urban nature spot. Show us how people care and want nature to be part of their lives.

What can you win

  • First prize is £100 cash
  • The Runners Up prize is pair of reusable KeepCups and Sussex Wildlife Trust's 2020 printed calendar
  • All 12 finalists' photographs will feature in our 2020 online calendar, social media and Wildlife magazine as well as being displayed at the Sussex Wildlife Trust's AGM and the Booth Museum of Natural History in Brighton
  • The winning photographer will also be offered the chance to take-over the Trust's Instagram account for a week

This year we are fortunate to have professional wildlife photographer David Plummer and the editor of Sussex Wildlife Trust's Wildlife magazine, Amanda Reeves judging to choose the final 12 images for the public vote.
