Supporters of Sussex Wildlife Trust are invited to get 'trundling' this winter to boost wellbeing, save emissions and raise vital funds.

trundl is the walking-for-charity app, that can help you:

  • Feel motivated to keep active outdoors over the festive season
  • Support Sussex Wildlife Trust and other great UK causes with every step
  • See CO2 Savings mount up when you walk rather than drive.

How the trundl walking for charity app works

  • Join as individuals or as a company and from 29 November - 15 December you can track your everyday walks through the app, helping the trundl community reach the distance goal that will trigger a donation to Sussex Wildlife Trust.
  • From 16 December – 5 January there will be many more reasons to keep fit and active through a bumper Community trundl for 6 UK outdoor and mobility related charities, including Sussex Wildlife Trust.
  • 40% of your November and December trundl membership fee will be donated to Sussex Wildlife Trust, with no need for you or your company to do any fundraising or make donations. Ongoing trundl donates 30% of income.
  • Sponsorship from Sykes Holiday Cottages further boosts the donation target that the community of trundl members will walk to release.
  • And when you walk rather than drive, you can record individual CO2 savings through the app. For every 2,000kg of saved carbon, trundl celebrates by holding special walks to fund carbon-related projects like the Sussex Wildlife Trust Fishing Net Recycling scheme.

What's the impact?

Over the past four years, trundl has helped to donate nearly £4,000 to Sussex Wildlife Trust through similar Community trundls.

This includes two special CO2 Saver trundls that funded the recycling of two lorryloads of fishing nets.

Sadly not everone owns a smarphone and this is another opportunity that I am missing out on because of that.
