On Sunday 16
September more than 300 intrepid guests set out across the fields from Rye and Winchelsea
Beach to meet at Camber Castle to watch the
Greatest Showman film, literally 'under the stars'. This was one of the events to raise awareness and funds for the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Appeal - it raised just over £2,000.
It was the perfect night. A hot sunny day, followed by a beautifully clear, balmy, & starry night. As we watched the film the moon and mars moved over the castle.
If you weren't able to join us at our outdoor cinema event please help us raise the money to build a new visitor facility at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve that will enable more education and events for people to discover more about wildlife and history on this changing coastline. We have a public fundraising target of £500,000. For more information or to donate please click here.
If you'd like to fundraise on our behalf, we'd love it if you did! You can skydive, do a sponsored swim, a sponsored silence, dog walk or host an event for us? To register and get help with your event please email us at - firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks go to English Heritage and to Frank Langrish for enabling this event to take place.
