Rye Harbour Nature Reserve Calendar

In addition to our usual Sussex Wildlife Trust calendar, this year we have also created a special calendar celebrating the wildlife of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.

Barry Yates, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve Manager, who took all the photos featured in the calendar said

"Working at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is a great privilege and I get to see the wildlife here through the seasons and in all weathers and times of day.

I like to share these experiences though photography and words online, in social media, at talks and in books.

Now we have produced this calendar for 2023 - it was a great challenge to pick just 12 seasonal images and a cover shot. We hope you like our choice.

My favourite is December… you don’t get many opportunities to see a Bittern that close but it took a very long cold wait at the Halpin hide."
