An exciting new accommodation opportunity has opened up for wildlife at The Deneway nature reserve. The Reptile Ridge Bug Hotel is ready to welcome any invertebrates, reptiles or amphibians looking for a place to rest during winter, with lots of different rooms and suites available.

The hotel was created using scrap materials from the Youth Rangers homes, Sussex Wildlife Trust staff, and deadwood from the reserve itself. We received old plant pots, gravel, roof tiles, bedding border edging, bricks, pinecones, and decking panels. Only the best building materials for our treasured wildlife residents!

The Youth Rangers put a lot of thought into how they might create the perfect space for wildlife. Invertebrates need lots of nooks and crannies, reptiles might like some warm roof tiles to bask on, and amphibians love a nice rotten log to chill under. The Youth Rangers have done it all.

The Reptile Ridge Bug Hotel is truly the perfect option for any member of the wildlife community visiting The Deneway this winter. Don’t miss out, book your stay today.
