This Saturday, 27 July, marks the beginning of The Wildlife Trusts’ National Marine Week. Every year we dedicate this time to celebrate our seas and the wonderful wildlife they are home to. Running over two weeks and three weekends, there’s plenty of opportunity to get out and enjoy the sea, whether you choose to join an organised activity or simply take yourself down to the beach to relax or swim. We’ll also be posting loads of marine-themed information on our social media accounts and would love for you to share with us what you’ve been up to – don’t forget to use the hashtag #NationalMarineWeek!

To get you started, here are all the Marine Week events we’re running across Sussex:

- Sunday 28 July: Walk with the Warden at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve

- Tuesday 30 July: Wild Beach at Rye Harbour

- Tuesday 30 July: Rockpool Ramble at Seaford Head

- Wednesday 31 July: Shoresearch at Elmer Rocks
