March for Clean Water: Timing and Location details
By Ella Garrud
Wilder Communities Officer - Coastal
Thank you to everyone who's expressed interest in joining us for the March for Clean Water on Sunday 3rd November. Together, we can make a real difference in the fight for our rivers, lakes, reservoirs and seas. We now have more details for the big day:
Meeting Point:
The march will be assembling at Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7HF from 11:00 am, officially beginning at 11:45 am.
At the assembly point, there will be zones marked by letters on lamp posts. All Wildlife Trusts, including Sussex Wildlife Trust, have been given the area F-G, which is towards the Black Prince Road end of Albert Embankment. Look out for our Sussex Wildlife Trust branded banners, and feel free to bring your own!
We will then march to Parliament Square, for a rally starting at 1:30 pm. This will be an important moment where we’ll hear from speakers, including environmental advocates and campaigners, about why clean water matters to us all. The rally should finish by 3:00 pm.
Here is an interactive map
PLEASE NOTE: All Wildlife Trusts, including Sussex, are forming up at zone F-G, location of which can be seen on the map
What to Wear:
Please wear blue to help create the powerful image of flowing water and show our unity, turning the streets of London into a sea of blue!
Let’s make a big splash and #FloodTheStreets for cleaner, safer rivers!
