Long time no see...
There is a tiny beetle - little more than 1mm long - called Hypocoprus latridioides that had not seen in Britain for 114 years. That is until local entomologist David Hance went searching for it at the Castle Water part of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve on 19th September. He spent two hours sieving sand and found two specimens! Now that's what we call applied dedication. Well done David.
