Get nature and climate change on your MP’s agenda
We’ve had the biggest shake up in Government and MP’s for decades. With over half the MPs elected last month being brand new, this a fantastic opportunity for communities to get to know their MP and help influence their agendas. At the Sussex Wildlife Trust, we are trying to meet with all the MPs in Sussex to let them know about our work and help them act to tackle the biodiversity and climate emergencies. We want to encourage as many people in Sussex to do the same, and the Climate Coalition is offering you help.
They are inviting people up and down the country to meet with their MP on Saturday 12th October, in their constituencies, to show our elected officials that we want to see action to tackle climate change and protect and restore nature at the top of their agenda, right from the start.
Head to the Climate Coalition website to sign up for two workshops to help you get involved and feel prepared and excited to talk to your MP.
The first workshop is on ‘Preparing to Meet your MP’ and will include:
- Understanding parliament and what your MP can actually do on climate change and nature issues
