Eastbourne Local Group events update
By Janet Nott
Secretary, Eastbourne Regional Group of the Sussex Wildlife Trust
Firstly, I’d like to apologise for not being able to answer any emails or send out any notices about our upcoming events. Unfortunately, there is a problem and we can’t access the Eastbourne Regional Group’s email account.
This means that until further notice, it is not possible for Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Eastbourne Regional Group to send or receive emails. Please do pass this message on – thank you.
The Sussex Wildlife Trust are kindly hosting our notices for the time being and, any updates will appear there.
Our next talk will be on Thursday 16th January 2025, at 7.30pm, when Sarah Mckenzie will be telling us ‘WHY PEOPLE NEED PLANTS’…Did you know that hemp is used in the body panels of cars? That charcoal from cork bark is used in the manufacture of dynamite? That you can make cloth finer than silk from pineapple fibres? We discover how plants are indispensable to life on Earth and meet two people who revolutionised the food we eat today.
The talk will be in the Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1UE, starting at 7.30pm, where there is a large, free, car park (the talk will not be recorded or broadcast online).
