We'd been enjoying the photos Trust member Polly Mair was posting of dragonflies and damselflies, so we asked her to send a few over so we could share them:

I was very fortunate that I had my camera ready when this dragonfly landed right in front of me! Seen in Eastbourne.

This male was busy seeing off any other dragonfly that dared fly too close!

Seen near Hailsham.

Azure damselfly

This damselfly emerged from our garden pond early one morning recently; I dashed inside to get my macro lens so that I could get a close-up.

Norfolk Hawker

Sometimes called the Green-eyed Hawker, this dragonfly was patrolling the ditches at West Rise Marsh, Eastbourne. When he eventually landed, I had to be quick before he flew off again!
