Chris Corrigan announces his retirement
Chris Corrigan joined Sussex Wildlife Trust in 2022 as interim CEO, initially for a period of six months. After just over three years, Chris has announced his plans to retire.
During this time, Chris has played a pivotal role in modernising the Trust and launching Our Wild Sussex, an ambitious action plan to turn the tide for wildlife. Members have seen him as a conservation advocate, most recently championing a major wetland restoration project at Pevensey Levels and taking legal action to prevent dumping of dredged sediment in a Marine Conservation Zone.
The process to recruit a new CEO for Sussex Wildlife Trust has already begun and we anticipate this will be completed in the New Year. Chris will remain in post until his replacement is appointed.
