Rafts for nesting Common Terns
300 pairs of Common Tern breed in Sussex and most of these are in the Rye area - at Rye Harbour and Pett Level. A project was put together to provide additional nesting sites for Common Tern on artificial islands, or rafts, to improve their breeding success.
