Brighton & Hove Mayor's Charities Walk

Join Brighton & Hove Mayor, Pete West, to raise money for the Sussex Wildlife Trust, and walk the boundary of our city to create a new, official, designated pathway.

Starting in Saltdean there are six clear stages, including one with disabled access. The full route is just over 27 km – one kilometre for each of the Mayor’s charities! You can join or leave at different points. Walk a little, or go the whole way round. There is a suitable stage for anyone. Dogs on leads are welcome.

We will be accompanied Park Rangers and volunteers and enjoy talks along the way at areas of specific interest.

Walkers are asked for a £5 registration fee, and raise sponsorship for Sussex Wildlife Trust.

Brighton & Hove Mayor, Councillor Pete West said: “I’m inviting everyone to join me in beating the bounds of our city to establish a new walking route that takes in some of the highlights of our lovely local downland. I will be walking with friends and supporters of all my 27 local charities, raising money for the invaluable work they do helping local people. Challenge your family, friends and colleagues to enter, the more the merrier as we pioneer the Brighton & Hove Way.”
