A reminder: To vote on June 23rd, you must be registered by this Tuesday June 7th
By Bondegezou

I’ve been writing this EU Referendum blog series for a couple of months now, explaining what EU environment policy and legislation means to our work and to Sussex wildlife.

I’ve made it clear that I have no intention of telling people how to vote. That’s a personal decision. But when coming to that decision, I would strongly encourage Sussex voters to take account of what being part of the European Union has meant for our wildlife and the prospects for nature in the future if we remain in or if we leave the EU. I hope that my blogs provide helpful information in that respect.

What is important right now is to recognise that, if you are not already on the electoral register (i.e. you haven’t received your polling card), then the deadline to register is only 4 days away. You must register by June 7th. UPDATE: Registration deadline has been extended to midnight on Thursday 9th June 2016.

It’s easy to register online; all the information you need is on the GOV.UK website. And if you expect to be unable to get to your polling station on June 23rd, then you can apply for a postal vote, but you need to act quickly to do this.
