- Overview of the role:
- Do you enjoy being outdoors? Have a keen interest in nature? Are looking for a chance to get some voluntary experience in the environmental sector? Why not join Youth Rangers. If you are interested in wildlife and would like to gain skills in land-based work, this group is for you. No previous experience is necessary.
- Type of tasks you will be involved with:
- Youth Rangers carry out conservation work alongside staff at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. We provide a broad range of activities and conservation tasks to get involved with, including species identification, habitat management, removing invasive non-native species, beach cleans, safe use and maintenance of hand tools, green woodworking and bushcraft skills.
- Experience/Skills Required:
- No experience needed. All tools and safety equipment, including gloves, will be provided. Please wear boots/wellies suitable for working outside. We will be outside for the whole session, please wear weather appropriate clothing. Bring a packed lunch and a cup.
- Days/Times we would like you to be available:
- Every other Saturday during term time, 10am – 2pm
