Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is one of the most spectacular places in Sussex to see wildlife.
This spring we’re asking you to help us raise £50,000 to help build the new Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, and secure the future of the people and wildlife at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.
Currently the conservation team, education staff, and our volunteers are all working from a small portacabin. The old visitor centre, Lime Kiln Cottage, was liable to flooding, with no toilets for visitors and no space for school groups. It’s been evident for many years that a new visitor centre is urgently needed.
The new Discovery Centre will act as a showcase for wildlife and encourage more people to become involved in conservation. It will also mean that many more school children will have the opportunity to visit this beautiful nature reserve.
With your help we hope to open the Discovery Centre in late summer, 2020.

The project is a joint venture between the Sussex Wildlife Trust and the Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.
