Found in shallow waters and rockpools, the sea hare eats a mixture of algae and seaweed.

How to identify:

<p>7cm – 20cm in length. The have a long and narrow body, with tall slender tentacles on its head. They range in colour from green and brown to red and purple.<br></p>

Where:

Found in many places around the UK.

Fantastic facts:

The colour depends on their diet. Juvenilles feed on red algae so they are red. The adults migrate away and eat seaweed, so they are brown or green.
