This impressive anemone is frequently spotted by Sussex divers. Dahlias are predatory animals which prey on prawns and fish.
How to identify:
<p>Dahlias can be observed in a number of different colour variations but usually have distinctive colour banding on their tentacles. They are quite sturdy and squat and can be covered in warts.</p>Where:
Usually a sub-tidal species but can occasionally be found in rock pools.

When the tentacles are retracted, the beautiful Dahlia anemone is camouflaged by the warts and pieces of sand and shell stuck to the body.
