About:

This jellyfish can cause harm to humans with the venom in its tentacles. Its 24 tentacles are arranged into groups of 3.

How to identify:

<p>Pale coloured with 16 V shaped brown markings on its bell. The bell is very thick and can reach up to 30cm in diameter.</p>

Where:

Found in all coastal waters around the British Isles, especially common around the south coast of England and the welsh coastline. Their babies arrive in our waters in about May.

Fantastic facts:

These jellyfish can change gender! They start off as males, and then can change into a female.
