Future management of Ditching Beacon
We are working with local communities and landowners to connect people with nature and address challenges facing the Sussex Downs, in order to protect this fragile chalk grassland landscape for future generations.
As part of this project, Sussex Wildlife Trust is considering how to improve Ditchling Beacon for people and wildlife. Before coming to any conclusions, we are anxious to get the views of people and organisations that value the site as an important greenspace or have a specialist interest in its wildlife, history, status as common land or other features. The first stage of a consultation ended in January 2021 (see links below). The second stage is running between 18 July and 30 September 2022 and we are keen to know what you think about the options being considered as a result of the first stage of the consultation. Please follow the links below to find out more and/or come along to one of our consultation events.
