Getting around
Seaford Head lies just west of the Cuckmere estuary at the Seven Sisters Country Park. it can be accessed by the private road which runs south from the eastern end of Chyngton Way, with free parking at South Hill Barn, Seaford, BN25 4JQ. Alternatively access is available to the reserve from the footpath which runs runs along the west side of the river (from the Cuckmere Inn), parking for a fee available at the Seven Sisters Country Park, BN25 4AD. The reserve can also be accessed from along the coastal path from Seaford Esplanade. Use Traveline to plan your journey to this nature reserve.
Seaford Head is managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust in partnership with Seaford Town Council, the site owners.
The National Trust own and manage the former floodplain to the west of the river, and East Sussex County Council own and manage the area between the river and the meander, along with the rest of the Seven Sisters Country Park. A joint planning committee exists so that management takes place in partnership involving all interested parties.
Please be aware of there have been significant cliff falls near Hope Gap, so please take care.
