Sussex Wildlife Trust is proud to announce an Opera Gala Concert by the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra in aid of the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Appeal on Saturday 16 June >>Book your tickets here<<

The Hastings Philharmonic is the newest fully professional orchestra in the South East. The Opera Gala, held in conjunction with the Hastings Chamber Choir, will see performances of works by Bizet, Puccini, Verdi, Dvorak, Mozart, Gershwin and Mascagni. Led by Conductor/Baritone Marcio da Silva the performance will also feature Alice Privett - Soprano; Leonel Pinheiro - Tenor; and Vadat Dalgiran - Bass.

The Gala Concert will be the Orchestra's first performance in Rye and is being produced with the kind support of both the Fairlight Arts Trust and Martello Developments, in aid of Sussex Wildlife Trust's Charity Fundraising Appeal for the landmark new Discovery Centre for Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, due to open in Autumn 2019.

The Gala Concert will be taking place in one of Rye's newest venues – the former auction warehouses in Rock Channel now under new ownership and converted specially for this special event. The concert will commence promptly at 7:30pm but guests are welome to arrive earlier for a relaxing drink at our pop-up bar.
