Our volunteers that help us with schools visits to Woods Mill

and the Outreach programme are a fantastic bunch of people that we really couldnt do without. Just to let them know how much we appreciate them, we have a bit of a get-together twice a year; a Christmas party in December and a barbecue in July.

We have just had this years Christmas gathering, and as you can see from the photos, a jolly good time was had by all! Everyone brings a contribution of food and the Trust provides hot punch, more food and entertainment. This years activities included making mini Christmas wreaths from dogwood and natural resources found around Woods Mill, a quiz mainly about fungi and the biggest pass-the-parcel you have ever seen, every layer concealing a chocolate coin and a terrible joke!

There wasnt much food left at the end of two hours, but we had lots of happy volunteers who are looking forward to coming back in the spring term to help more Sussex children experience the wonders that can be found at Woods Mill.
