Squish

Meet Squish. . . hes half squid, half fish. No, hes not a newly discovered species but my own online creation. There are some weird and wonderful creatures living off the coast of Sussex and now were giving children (and adults!) the chance to have a go at creating their own online sea creature on the Making Waves website. Choose whether your creature has legs or tentacles, hairs or scales, claws or fins and then find out how it scores for speed, camouflage and being a predator.

Then have a go at The Great Sea Race game. Race through the sea, avoiding hazards and collecting food, to get to the safety of Marine Protected Areas.

The Great Sea Race The Great Sea Race

Once you have mastered these games, make sure to explore the rest of the Making Waves website to find lots of fun marine facts and seaside activities for you to enjoy outside.

Making Waves is our marine education and awareness project, which is spreading the word about the wonderful marine life found around our coast and the importance of protecting it. This project is run in partnership with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
