Welcome to our Go Wild at School fundraiser page! Together with the Sussex Wildlife Trust your school can make a difference for local wildlife this autumn.
Please register your school here and let us know what you’re planning to do. We’ll also be in touch to make sure your school has everything you need, and will send your FREE fundraiser event poster once we’ve received your registration form.
Whether your school organises a non-uniform or a wild onesie dress up day, a cake sale or a sponsored bug hotel build in the school grounds, you can make a difference by raising money for the work of the Trust.
Our State of Nature report shows that hedgehogs have declined by over 1/3 in the last 10 years. They are now declining faster than tigers are globally in both rural and urban areas. A favourite Sussex species, the water vole, has drastically declined by 95% over the past few years. We are here to reverse this trend so that children can still enjoy a thriving natural world in future.
In collaboration with Twinkl Educational Publishing we have collated a range of educational resources, activities and fundraising ideas that will help your school organise your own fundraising event or activity. All our downloads are free of charge, and will support your school in becoming more wildlife friendly.
The Go Wild at School fundraiser runs from October all the way through to the end of November to suit your school’s timetable and give you plenty of time to get organising. Whatever you choose to do for local wildlife, the most important thing is for everyone to have fun, learn a bit more about what wild things can be found outside your school’s doorstep and engage with nature in the classroom as well as outdoors
For any questions and to let us know about your fundraising ideas please contact Louise Collins, Corporate & Community Fundraising Officer, by email or call 01273 497522
