The Sussex Wildlife Trust is a conservation charity for everyone who cares about nature in Sussex. We focus on protecting the wonderfully rich natural life that is found across our towns, countryside and coast. By working alongside local people we create opportunities for us all to connect with nature and for nature to thrive in even the most unlikely places. Together we can make sure that future generations living in Sussex will be able to enjoy the sense of wonder and well-being that nature offers.

Our membership engagement callers do an important job welcoming new members to Sussex Wildlife Trust and letting them know about all the exciting things we have to offer them over the phone. Our members are at the core of everything we do at the trust, so we want someone who can make new members understand how important they are, and how thankful we are for their support. They also serve as first contact to encourage people to get more involved, in things like volunteering, courses, and family events.

The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of the work of Sussex Wildlife Trust. They will have experience of engaging with people in a polite and friendly way, and an enthusiasm for our work. They will be confident talking to people over the telephone, and able to answer a wide range of questions and queries.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys speaking to people of all ages and types. They will also need to have a good knowledge of the work of Sussex Wildlife Trust, and had previous experience of our work. Previous experience of a similar role would be preferable.

THE BENEFITS: This role offers flexible working with a small, friendly team; access to an employee assistance scheme and the opportunity to help Sussex Wildlife Trust make a real difference local wildlife.
