Sussex Wildlife Trust is seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Community Action for Wildlife (children and youth) to enable young people across Sussex to take effective action for wildlife.
Location: Initially home-based due to Covid-19 restrictions then at Woods Mill / flexible working
Salary: £31,135 – pay review pending
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 35 Hours per Week Monday to Friday some evening and weekends

The Role

Inspire and manage a committed and skilled Children and Youth team through imagination, resourcefulness and diplomacy
Lead on the strategic development of experiences and opportunities for all children and young people, that inspire individuals, communities, schools, visitors to understand, value and take action for wildlife across Sussex
Build upon recent learnings from the Covid-19 pandemic to utilise a range of interactive communication techniques to reach and engage with diverse audiences
Underpin our programmes and activities by ensuring the resources, income and structure required are in place to enable successful delivery and outcomes
The Person
A structured and strategic thinker who can bring a creative approach across the breadth of the Trust’s engagement activities
Experienced in leading formal and informal learning programmes and wider-community projects
Embraces unexpected challenges and responds to swiftly changing demands/priorities Great people management skills and the ability to inspire others with a clear vision.
